Before continuing...

  • I agree to follow Atlas' Code of Conduct
  • I have searched our issue tracker to verify that the issue hasn't been reported already
  • I have searched the Atlas documentation beforehand for a solution
  • I am on the latest version of Atlas, and didn't do an unsupported upgrade

Description

Every time i boot my machine, a 100MB Disk (I assume EFI partition) will be mounted in Windows. Even when I unmount it via diskpart.

Steps to reproduce

  1. See EFI Partition is mounted:
    image
  2. Unmount via diskpart.
    1. list volume
    2. select volume NUMBER
    3. remove
      image
  3. Reboot
  4. EFI Partition is mounted again

Expected behavior

The EFI partition will not be mounted automatically.

Actual behavior

The EFI partition is being mounted automatically.

This isn't necessarily an issue, as much as an annoyance. To disable it coming each boot, remove the drive letter from DiskPart.
I have encountered this in the past, however I can't remember if it was on AtlasOS or on stock Windows. In either case, I do not count this as an issue.

I am going to try and look into it, however do not expect this to be fixed (if it even is Atlas' fault)

Yeah, bug was maybe the wrong term. But unfortunately removing the DriveLetter with DiskPart does not fix it. (See my description, the German says "The drive letter or mount point was successfully removed.")

I unterstand that this is hard to identify and/or determine if its AtlasOS fault or just plain windows.

I will try to look into if this is even related to Atlas.
