Does this run when the app is closed? #2

Possible on Android with a native app. Not sure about with PhoneGap. This app requires user initiation. it runs in the background in the sense if the user sends it to the background, uses another app, or puts phone to sleep and puts it in pocket. |
I think I’m going to look into this plugin, will require some Java but should hopefully help bridge the gap. Thanks for the reply. https://github.com/Red-Folder/bgs-core/wiki/Build-your-own-Background-Service On October 26, 2014 at 8:27:53 PM, David Rust-Smith ([email protected]) wrote: Possible on Android with a native app. Not sure about with PhoneGap. Does your plugin work even when the app is closed? On December 7, 2014 at 2:19:35 AM, Chris Scott ([email protected]) wrote: Use my plugin: native background geolocation for ios, Android and WP. https://github.com/christocracy/cordova-plugin-background-geolocation — |

Hey Nick, wondering if this will run as a service even when the app is off. Trying to do passive geofencing that would prompt a user to open a particular app once a region has been entered, but not entirely sure if that's even possible.
