Can you remove the dashed ring on buttons?

i have created a custom button that uses an Photo image as a background and was wondering if it was possible to remove the change in text uppon hover and the dashed line around the button to make the look cleaner. I have allready tried turning off autostyle but i got a paramater error when trying to pass it '
